Went to school for Chemical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Upstate New York (Troy, NY).
My profession is Fitness Dream Maker and High-five giver.
Hobbies are video games & board games, salsa dancing, rock climbing, and reading.
Certified in all of the following: Level 1 CrossFit, Spinning, TRX Group Exercise, Personal Trainer.

Why did you open your Burn?
I created Burn to provide a space where people could reach their fitness goals without any excuses. I wanted people to be able to workout everyday, not be bored, and be pushed and encouraged by others who wanted to reach their fitness goals as well.
Tell me about your concept and why it works.

We created 30 minute blocks of cardio or strength training that allow you to do anywhere from 30-90 minutes of work. Depending on your goals and schedule for you can burn fat and calories with our low-impact high intensity spin classes and follow up with targeted body shaping bootcamp classes. This 1-2 punch ensures that you lose weight and increase lean muscle mass at the same time.

What has it been like running your own business?

It is a daily roller coaster ride with all your best friends on it. There are ups and downs every hour. And the ride changes every day. While roller coasters aren’t my favorite, my days are filled with wonderful women that trust me with helping them become stronger, both physically and mentally. That makes the ride the most amazing and satisfying career I have ever had. EVER.

What is your personal favorite workout?
My favorite workout is our current Saturday stack. We have a full-body bootcamp class, metcon (metabolic conditioning), followed by spin. The first class allows me to get a HIIT style, strength workout that my muscles love. The spin class right after exhausts my energy reserves and ensures that I am increasing my fitness threshold.

When you indulge, what do you normally crave?
I don’t have a sweet tooth. My whole mouth is full of sweet teeth. I crave everything sweet: Ice cream, cake, donuts, cookies, and candy.

Current favorite song you like to workout to?
The song that has refused to get old and that gets me hyped every time I hear it is Peanut Butter Jelly by Galantis.

Some silly questions for fun:
If you had to choose, would you rather workout without a sports bra or wear see through leggings when you bend over?
See through leggings…which, unfortunately, has happened to me before. Eek!

Would you rather workout and have incredibly bad B.O. or sweat so profusely, no medical antiperspirant will help?
Sweat. At least I can contain the puddles around me and still workout with people.

Have something in your eye or need to sneeze but never be able to, for a year?
I’d rather have to sneeze for a year. I wear contacts and have dealt with having something in my eye for a few minutes. I almost ripped my eyeballs out.

Would you rather never have coffee again or live without your favorite dessert forever?
This question is by far the most evil, lol. I choose to live without dessert. Coffee is life. And a life without coffee? I can’t even.
