First Taste at Remedy!

For a mid-week dinner, I caught up with a friend at Remedy on Lower Greenville. The new restaurant took over the previous Zubar space located next to Steel City Pops. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised and can’t wait to go back for a second taste.

Here’s what we devoured:

Pimento cheese and buttermilk biscuits with pickled carrots and cucumbers. Loved the cheese and the crumbly biscuits. Couldn’t get enough. Had to refrain from licking the bowl.remedydallas1

Confit fried amish chicken with sour cream and chives mashed potatoes and green beans. Loving the comfort food. I was so stuffed after this, I wish the breading had a little more seasoning, but delicious nonetheless.remedydallas4

Texas shrimp and bacon cheddar grits. I repeat. Bacon cheddar grits. Enough said.remedydallas3

The Felicia specialty sundae. I so badly want to add “bye” in from of it and rename it the “Bye Felicia”. Alas…. Carrot cake and cream cheese ice cream with rum raisins and walnut brittle. The carrot cake ice cream was delicious.

remedydallas2Looking forward to a second visit. Quite a few intriguing things on the menu I want to try out, including the sweet potato and mushroom pot pie and the Texas salted honey pie. The website isn’t up and running yet, but check out the menu here. Hope you enjoyed the sneak peak!
