Daily Burn: Workout on the Go

photo 2After countless hours lost to Hulu Plus, the Daily Burn ad finally caught my attention and pushed me to check it out. The 30 day free trial sold it too.

I’ve never been a fan of at-home workout videos like Insanity or T25. I like getting out of the house and going to the gym to put in some serious work. In the end, I just needed to change my perspective and now I love having a second option to get my fitness on.

It’s not an either or situation. I still find my way to the gym several times a week, but for those weekend days when I have no motivation to leave my house or if I am short on time, or if I find myself making any other excuse, pulling out my iPad or laptop and squeezing in 30 minutes of a cardio video is so convenient. I love it. It’s a workout on the go and I totally see the value of that.

Daily Burn offers a free trial for a whole month and after the trial is over, it’s $10 a month thereafter. You have access to all sorts of videos and they are adding new ones all the time. I’ve tried kickboxing, cardio, sports drill, dance fitness videos and there are still other yoga/Pilates videos I have yet to dive into. There’s definitely even some for pregnant women which I thought was really considerate. Definitely not bored. Love the variety and I love how you can customize your workout type based on time, difficulty level, and type of workout.

photoThis is my first experience with a streaming workout session so I don’t really know how it compares to others. But I do like how it gives you an estimate of calories burned and you can also log challenges, weight, etc.

It’s definitely worth checking out and a great way to mix things up at home when laziness takes over. I can also see how convenient this would be for people on the go or constantly traveling. Check it out and let me know what you think!
