Made a Festive Dip for the Office

Jalapeño Ranch Dip

Jalapeño Ranch Dip

I’m taking my cooking game up a notch and decided to participate in my office’s Cinco de Mayo salsa/guac/dip contest on Monday. Now I needed something with as few ingredients as possible and even fewer steps. Didn’t feel like dicing tomatoes and avocados are expensive so I decided to make a jalapeño ranch dip with cilantro, inspired by my favorite dip at Chuy’s. The jalapeño ranch dip at Chuy’s is so good you could seriously drink the stuff.

I’ll looked at different recipes online and most of them called for mayo, but I wanted to do one with creamy sour cream and cream cheese. Here’s the one I found from Saving With Shellie, but I left off the cooking creme. Like seriously…what the heck is cooking creme?!

Recipe:

Cooking Crème 10oz
Cream Cheese 8 oz
Sour Cream 16 oz
2 packets of ranch mix
Canned jalapeños depending on how spicy you want it
Cilantro. Half bunch.

Blended cream cheese and sour cream first. Then added ranch. Blend. Then add jalapeños, blend some more. Then add cilantro and blend. Chill over night.

Instant Happiness!

Instant Happiness!

UPDATE: My dip placed second at the office and I won a $25 Chipotle gift card! It truly is instant happiness because I’ve been craving burrito bowls all week!
